Exodus 10:19 And the Lord changed the wind to a very strong west wind, which caught up the locusts and carried them into the Red Sea. Not a locust was left anywhere in Egypt.
During the time of the scripture, the people of Israel were experienced a shift in their lives, one that would shape their faith, their ways and their understanding of Jehovah. God sent his messenger Moses to charge Pharaoh to let His people be free. While the Pharaoh and God wrestled for Israel's freedom, the Israelites witnessed great plagues upon the land. The one mentioned in the scripture above is the plague of the locusts.
Locusts are devourers. They consume all they see. They stay until everything has been eaten that is green and leave you nothing to replant. You see, sometimes, on the way to deliverance, a warm of locust come into your life and begin to consume everything you've worked so hard to obtain. If you're experiencing this season, this word is for you.
No matter how you got to where you are, the Lord will send a wind into you life, that will gather every devouring, consuming form and carry it away completely. I have seen the wind blow leaves across the lawn. But never have I seen the wind scoop them up and carry them away. This is the awesome might of God that he can control the wind like a hand, and gather all your enemies far away! We're not talking about an average, everyday occurrence. We're talking about a supernatural move of God for you.
My question for you today is "Will you let God's wind blow in your life?" In order for God to deliver you, you must stop trying to deliver yourself. Locust cannot be contained, and neither can the devastation of your life. You have to let God's wind blow and fast before your entire harvest has been destroyed.
God hasn't forgotten about your needs. And He knows you need His might in this situation. So, let Him blow. Allow His supernatural power to over your life, and watch Him gather every locust, every problem, and every catastrophe.
